Hi, I'll try to keep this short. I have been wanting a Nintendo 3DS for a while now, since I've never owned one before. A friend found her old (broken) 3DS, and my friend's father threw it away thinking it was trash. I've tried looking for used or broken ones on eBay, but since I'm a jobless, 15 year old teen who is still getting his life together, I have little to no money and cannot afford one.
I understand that some people may not be comfortable giving a fairly priced item, especially if you're not getting anything in return, but if you're willing to give one away, I would appreciate it.
Now, before people start commenting "go get a job" or something related, please stop. I do not want any unnecessary comments that might be hurtful or disrespectful. If you cannot give away anything, ignore this post, and go somewhere else.
If you are willing to give away to me, send me a message and we'll sort things out. I'll try to stay in touch whenever I'm available.
P.S. If you find any bargains that might be under ~$30-45 USD, that would also be helpful.
Again, I appreciate anyone who happens to have one lying around that they don't plan on using.

FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE IS GOING TO BE YOUR BEST BET!!!! i know you really want that real 3ds experience and ill tell you man its fucking worth it. citra doesnt fully compare to actually carrying a 3ds everywhere you go. ive heard of people getting great bargain deals off of their locals on facebook marketplace so def look into it cus you never know what youre gonna find!! other good places for yr budget are like mercari japan and other japanese reselling sites. if i were you id def stay away from ebay bc ive hunted on their the last like year or so and youd be lucky if you found a 2014 3ds for anywhere less than 200 bucks. 2ds's in general are usually pretty unwanted right now and they go for even lower than a ds fat or an original 2011 3ds so if youre not too attached to the closing design that all the other models have and the THREE-D of the 3ds then thats an amazing option aswell. and check to see if you have any retro gaming shops near buy and know what each model is generally worth so you dont get ripped off. my local shops tend to highball their prices to keep the lights on which means occasionally getting absolutely RIPPED OFF! but thats only if you dont do your research. also, if youre gonna buy anything get it soon because with the release of the switch two coming up, the whole 3ds line is going to be one generation older which means RISING PRICES. read up on good sources, watch TONS of videos of videogaming history and retrocollecting like i do, and use all the tools at your disposal. when youre broke you gotta get smart. GOOD LUCK DUDE AND HAPPY GAMING!!!!
Hey, thanks so much on your comment. Yes, I DID look on FB Marketplace, and I did find some pretty good prices. Luckily, I also found a non-XL 2DS on Mercari for like $40, so it was a good price. Had some wear and tear, a banged up joystick, but I have enough knowledge to buy the parts I need to get it working and tear it open and repair it into an (almost) new/mint condition. Again, thx for your comment!

Guess what? I got a great deal for a “For parts” 2DS (not NEW) for around $40 that says that it charges, but doesn’t turn on, the images shows the sleep switch stuck, so that’s probably the issue, but if not, I have enough skills to crack that bad boy open and figure out what’s wrong. Unfortunately, it has not arrived yet, it was supposed to arrive on Thursday, but since USPS is a fucking joke, I might have to wait a few more days (hopefully not weeks 🤞🏻). Ironically, a battery that I purchased the day after I bought the 2DS arrived on Friday with USPS, so I guess it’s REALLY unpredictable. Again, tysm for your comment.

personally i dont have one i dont want, i found this site where u can play old ds games on(and other consoles) and u could use an emulator too.....
https://www.retrogames.cc/nds-games
theres prob better sites tho but thats the one i used
To play DS games, I use Delta on my phone, but that's not what I'm looking for. I use Citra as an emulator for 3DS games, but I've been wanting the full 3DS experience.

Actually, I do. But recently I’ve been wanting to have the real 3DS experience, so that’s why I made this “blog” post.
