i. BACKSTORY — Heavenly Hydra

Thousands of years ago, Gaia’s Will, Orochi, slowly but surely gathered a following that would help in the preservation of the earth and protection of the will of the earth. This divine clan had eight heads (the “Hakkesshu”), the strongest warriors of the clan, and the heavenly kings, who where more than that, and proved themselves to be exceptional. 

Time would pass, 1800 as it would, and humanity would progress , invent new ways of being, invent new ways of greed, destruction would litter the earth at the hands of humanity, and Orochi would not take it. He sought to annihilate humanity for its misgivings and indescribable cruelty towards the world it would call its home, leading into war. The Kusagani, Yata, and Yasakani clans where ultimately able to lead humanity’s side to victory using the power of the three sacred treasures, sealing the Orochi and its eight heads away. 

660 years after the original seal of the Orochi clean, it weakened, and while the three previous clans gathered to reinforce the seal, the heavenly kings saw an out, and decided to escape. During this time, a king went out of his way to frame the murder of the Yasakani clan leader’s wife onto the Kusanagis, and in their rage, the Yasakani’s formed a blood-bound pact with the Orochi clan. They learned the technique of the eight maidens, and renamed to the Yagami clan from then on, swearing revenge on the Kusanagi clan for the framed murder, and binding their descendants to the same curse.

Prevalent in the west, Those From The Past (Those From His Distant Land) is a european-centric group of inhuman individuals who wish to release the Orochi clan from the seal placed on them by the current heirs of the three sacred treasures; as of 1997, Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, and Chizuru Kagura. However, Saiki, their clan leader, has twinged motives from Orochi, 

Humanity is a pestilence to them, a disease and cancer to the earth, and the need to hard reset the world from pests are present… though they’ve always been the outcasted clan. None others would take their motive seriously, and even Orochi’s clansmen would openly mock them, it fueled them.

Saiki is driven by greed. As a time lord, he and his clansmen can travel through time through a gate, easily meeting the requirements needed to travel through these gates scattered amongst time and timelines, though Saiki wishes to use his time-manipulating abilities to travel backward and erase the existence of his enemies before they even become a potential threat to begin with. And when all is said and done, he can rule with an iron fist, comfortably with power dripping from the tips of his fingers.

However— a time-jump failed in 2013, and they where bound to current time, being sealed with the Orochi clan while being seen as a genuine threat for the first time. But the now the seal has completely broken since then, releasing old and new back into the world.

My involvement starts in 2015; a potential recruitment period. 

I was contacted by clansmen of Those From His Distant Land, and worked closely with then within my tweens, purely because even at such a young age I have seen how ugly humanity could be. I never fit in regardless and it was impossible to, I hadn’t been human for a bit by the point I was talking with them, so I had been an official clansmen for the time being. Saiki made his way into my mind, and at a point, I even considered him my brother, and to current day I still do. We are different but bound to one body, and he helped me make progress in offensive and magic capability, and in turn, I helped and promoted his cause. It was a fair trade-off in my eyes and in his. He cut me an amount of slack for being so young.

Then there was a cut-off period, in which I couldn’t contact them at all, or was told everything I had seen, lived through and touched had all been fantasy. It took years to finally re-grasp it all.

I currently have a lot of amnesia from the time, and I am currently trying to regain my memories, remembering it all even happened as recently as two years prior to now. My main goal is to re-evaluate my options, regain my power and make my final decision on rejoining, betrayal or remaining neutral.
