Poetry~* Poems and other Sad Things

I wrote you a bunch of poems 

But they’re mainly sad 

Because I just 

Just wrote them 

With everything I have  

You told me you’d love me 

Then you said said you can’t 

I just wanted to hold you 

But you felt you had had to pass

There were never any expectations 

No standards you had to meet 

I just wanted you 

And to love your head down to your feet 

But it’s ok 

I’m not mad 

You’re still here 

At least for now 

I’ll take it 

However long we have left 

And cherish it forever 

Because you really do 

Make me feel so much better 

The only problem is

You think I can do more 

But the truth is 

You’re the whole damn store 

My heart has stopped 

And ended 

And started again 

With you
