Universtiy burnout

Hello, this is going to most likely be my first and only time ranting about some school issues.

So for starters I am a sophomore in the spring semester who is going for a B.S with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

Right now my classes include: Pre-Calculus, General Chemistry II, Microbiology, and Literature.

As of right now it has only been the second week of college and I am already overwhelmed and stressed out and I am not really sure on what I should do lol.

It may just be me overthinking it too because in reality I have only 3 assignments done so far but all the teachers have already posted their lecture material for this year and like a psychopath I was going to try and learn it all in a week but that is not realistic lol. As now I am running on a few hours of sleep but I love to go exercise at the gym!

So my question is: Am I doing too much?

Hey, so here's my take on it its isn't really a matter of is it too much in general but is it too much for you personally yk. right now i'm a dual enrolled student and me and my classmate get pretty stressed abt the workload. but extreme stress is a sign that there's too much going on at once. and learning it all in a week is 100% a task that would be too stressful. since your professors posted the work for the semester you should try to chunk it down in a way that would keep you ahead of the class if that's your goal. For example if its in chapters do 2 per week or more if you can handle it. (srry it's alot)

Thanks for your kind words! Honestly I think it might be too much but hey college isn't supposed to be easy :D, and I am always up for a challenge. The only thing that is challenging me is my sleep schedule because I try to learn it all and then my brain explodes. So I might just need to take breaks instead of studying 5 hours a day!

Depends. If you feel so overwhelmed maybe try only one Lab class instead. I only took 1 lab class a semester, or one hard for me class (like precalc)

You know I am a little overwhelmed but I really did enjoy all my labs so far honestly!!! Today in the Micro Lab we learned how to make culture media and we even swabbed tons of surfaces so I can't wait to be terrified of the everyday surfaces I touch but in a curious way lol. For the Chem Lab it was really only covering measurements but we all had a good chuckle when going over our margin of error and not knowing what statistic terms to use when calculating an average lol. I may have made it sound that I don't like school because of the workload but I do really love it but I think it is just me overthinking that is making it harder to progress.
