Power in my Hands

I like play-doh

I can make any shape with it

Sometimes I will make a man

And sometimes he will go home

To his wife

But he had sad news for her

I don’t know how to make a woman

Play-doh is hard sometimes

But in my head,

He got fired from his job

And she was upset

But she didn’t leave him

I couldn’t mold what happened

But she was going to help him

Maybe she would get a job herself

Or what if she did leave him?

Should I have made her do that?

Or should I have made her get a job too?

Play-doh is stressful

I can do anything I want

But instead I let it sit out in the open

And it solidifies instead

**Hi! This is my first blog entry here <3 This is a poem I wrote in the summer. I hope you like it :3**

Holy moly! That was a great read, honestly, Play-doh is such a wacky substance because you can make whatever you want, but sometimes it's the overwhelming power of being able to do so that eventually leads to us just watching the play-doh hardening reminiscing on what could have been.

YESS!!! <333 you get me :3 I was going for a jack stauber vibe to have an existential idea presented through mundane and slow paced verses, as for why I chose play-doh, I like his claymations :3

I do have to say that you nailed the vibe and that you're actually quite a great poet! His claymations always sorta freak me out, in a good way but sometimes there just so realistic. I always wanted to learn how to do claymation someday.
