The Para Para dance style has long been associated with Gyaru; However, it is not a dance practiced by all Gyaru and not all Para Para dancers are Gyaru.

This style of dance is also often performed at Gyaru-related events around the world due to its strong association with the style.

The Para Para dance consists mainly of arm movements; It involves very little lower body movement, except perhaps moving your hips or stepping in place. ‎٩(⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝)و 

There are people who make their own parapara routines with their favorite eurobeat songs. These parapara routines are called Oripara. Oripara is a word reserved for routines that are not performed by famous parapara choreographers or taught at parapara club events.
