webfishing!!

(before you read you should probably know im a terrible speller)

now, if youve been on the internet lately you may have heard of a game called "webfishing", and you may have wondered, "what the hell is this cheap animal crossing knockoff and why is it getting so popular" and upon first glance youre correct, it is inspired by animal crossing and it has been quite popular lately (atleast thats what i think, the algorithms could be lying to me). But if u look more into the game, its actually alot more than that.

you can do so much in this silly little fishing game, well, thats kind of an overstatement, but you can do more than you would expect!! 

it has fishing, fishing in a toilet, fishing in a well, fishing in the void, gambling, getting drunk and very customisable characters! theres even a hat that says "i <3 peeing", how cool is that!!

The most important aspect of this game, obviously, is the fishing. the mechanics are pretty simple, cast rod, wait for fish, hold, mash, hold and hope u catch the fish. you can get upgrades on your rod to make it easier to catch said fish, and better bait to catch bigger and rarer fish (and when i say bigger, i mean BIGGER, i caught a 50m whale once) 

You can customise your little character too, u can pick between a cat and a dog and there are so many colors and accesories you can pick from, from hats to wellie boots, shirts, hoodies, tank tops, flannels and so much more! you can also get titles where u can showcase your achievements or just a bit about you to the other little fellas in the game. All these items can either be bought from the opposume lady in the hub, gotten from achievements or found in tressure chests!

The game has a wonderful community at the moment filled with really funny and chill people (and furries) who are just there for a good time. One of the main aspects of the game is it just being a chatroom. You can have a little chitchat with your fellow fishers or if chitchattin isnt ur thing and you'de rather just sit back and watch, theres a whole subcommunity of players called "cryptids" where people usually create faceless, flat colored characters and just sit in a bush or smth and just watch, or of course, you could just hope into an offline/solo server and fish by yourself, either works X3

One issue about the game is the hackers, sometimes people will join your game and try to get your IP adress, but in reality, there isnt much they can do with it so you be fine, but still, its probably best you leave the server when one of these guys join. The main one, to my knowledge, is Grincher. but if you see someone join and leave your lobby a few times theyre likely to be a hacker, so its best the leave that server. 

Anyway, the conclusion is if you're a fan of cosy chatroom games with a welcoming community, i'de give webfishing a go! its only about €5 on steam and its very worth it! seriously, i have about 30 hours on this game and im still not bored
