MIX CD'S ARE $WAG!!!!!!!! LOL

You ever make a playlist, and halfway through, you realize it’s just a random mess of songs that don’t even go together? Yeah, that’s kinda my life right now. One minute I’m thinking about getting my grades up so my parents will stop breathing down my neck, and the next I’m shotgunning a Four Loko behind the gas station with my friends and trying not to throw up. Balance, I guess.

Sometimes I think I should have it more together, like those kids who actually care about school and their “future plans.” But then I remember how boring that sounds. I mean, what’s the point of stressing over the next ten years when I’m just trying to survive this week? I’d rather blast American Idiot, skate until my legs feel like they’re gonna fall off, and avoid thinking too hard about anything.

Lately, I’ve been writing some lyrics in my notebook. Nothing crazy, just thoughts that come up when I’m sitting around doing nothing. Stuff like:

“Another night, another plan / Running nowhere, ‘cause I can / They say grow up, take a stand / But I’d rather fall again.”

I dunno, maybe they suck. But at least it feels like something real, you know? Something better than all the fake smiles at school and people pretending they have it all figured out.

Anyway, I’ll probably look back on all this someday and cringe, but for now, I’ll keep adding songs to the mess and see where it takes me.
