New Semester Yippie

Today is the first day of spring semester at my university and I only have one class today (that I leave for in about an hour). My schedule doesn't look tooooo bad. I'm only taking one class online and I don't have a group project in that one like I did last semester (whoever came up with the idea of assigning group projects in online, asynchronous courses needs to be slapped) so I think I'll be fine! I have a group project in one of my other classes but *hopefully* because it's in-person we won't have any issues.

I'm a psych major with a minor in public health, so almost all of my classes have to do with psych or pub health. However, I'm taking a class about rock music and its impact on culture, and all of the reviews for the course said it was really interesting! Plus it fulfills a core requirement I need to graduate, so it's not a "just for fun/credits" kind of class.

One thing I am worried about, though, is the number of papers I'll need to write. I'm not a bad paper-writer by any means, but the fact that I have to write at least one for almost every class I'm in is scaring me a little! That just means I have to make sure I attend most if not all lectures, take good notes and revise, and actually do the readings and/or read the chapters we're going over so that when it comes time to write my papers I actually know what I'm talking about! My goal for this semester is to get straight A's so I need to put in a little more effort instead of doomscrolling after class.

Anywaysss I'll probably be less active on here with the new semester starting, but I hope y'all have a good spring semester too! :)
