Is it okay to be a ferard shipper in 2025?

Is it okay to like ferard? This is a question I've been asking myself for awhile now. Just so you know, I am not a ferard shipper, but I really want to know the opinions of other mcr fans. 

The thing is, I'm not a ferard shipper, but I think its funny to make silly satire edits of them and stuff. I've also read the fan fiction, and alot of it is horrible but I will say some of them are really well made (A splitting of the mind which i'm OBSESSED with, for example, even if that fanfic is older then me) But I think it's pretty weird and gross for someone to write a fan fiction about Gerard and Frank Iero being freaky with eachother, especially now, since they are two GROWN men with wives and kids (atleast gerard has a daughter whos literally OLDER THEN ME...) 

I've seen people say that they aren't shipping Frank and Gerard, but instead they are shipping the "fandom" version of them. If you wanted to ship Gerard and Frank, couldn't you just ship the characters they play in the albums? for example. Party Poison and Fun Ghoul, or even them in The Black Parade or something? This is just my take on it as someone who hasn't been in this fandom for more then two years yet. Tell me what you think about this PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
