I just finished watching the second season of the Showtime series "Yellowjackets".
My expectations were not high so I was definitely surprised by the quality and uniqueness of that show. We do not often get well-produced, well-written shows nowadays (or at least ones that don't get canceled just after their first season) so I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I gotta say, I liked the first season a lot more than the second one but oh well, ya can't always win. I am looking forward to the third season (which coincidentally comes out in a few days! woo!).
PS. I was delighted to see Steven Krueger in this. The last thing I saw him in was The Originals-which ended in 2019 I believe- and so it felt like welcoming back an old friend. Also, I cannot stress enough how much I love adult Shauna's character. Melanie Lynskey, the woman that you are...
On another note, I continued reading A Court of Wings And Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. I was on hiatus from reading that book since I can never keep up with the characters and the events of previous books that are mentioned oh so often.
It's an ok read, I mostly just read it so we have something to talk about with my best friend since we started reading the series together. It's like watching a trashy show but in a fantasy setting.
Finally, I am thinking of continuing a story I had started well-over 5 years ago. It is one that keeps coming back to my mind every now and then. I really want to finish it at some point.
There's something about the characters that feels near and dear to me. I think now that I have grown up a bit, read more and written more I can finally begin to re-write what was once an unfinished project (one of many but still dear to me)
That's it for now. This has been my first entry on here!
Remi out! x
