I decided to make an Instagram account today and wow I regret it. I was barely on the site for a few minutes before being bombarded with accs of people I know from school. I tried not to go any further besides checking a couple of them because it was stressing me out for some reason. I don’t understand the type of people who just follow everyone they know from school, I’m personally very anonymous with my online presence since I use it mainly for my online friends, not acquaintances from school who don’t bother forming any deeper relationship with me besides following back. People are strange
I feel lonely and social media is overwhelming

yeah i get it, i do wish people were more active outside of social media though
I mean they are but with smartphones it also feels like they aren’t if that makes sense

i agree, i barely use social media, i know most people use it for like marketing themselves in a way? me personally i cant comprehend posting my daily life on instagram like that as an adult. i post the photos I take mainly
another theory of mine is that people just love showing off and subconsciously showing others how much "better" their lives are, in a way. really weird social dynamic shit
either way, that kind of stuff is not good for you, they design the apps like that on purpose, so imo stick to spacehey and maybe also check out MelonLand Forum if you want another place to post!
Keeping an active online presence in general is pretty exhausting honestly, I don’t know how some people do it
Definitely agree on u on that one but I will fess up and say that I’ve sort of done the same in a way through status posts on texting platforms I use but it’s really pointless honestly cuz no one actually replies to them or actually cares
I’ve never heard of Melonland before but I just checked it out and it seems pretty neat, thanks for the suggestion. I’m definitely sticking to Spacehey more tho lol

aye I feel that. we're all human we sometimes fall victim to being/acting like others
