was anyone ever on quotev? it's a fanfiction site / blog type of site, i joined super early on around 2015.
in its earlier days the site was kind of similar to spacehey; there was the ability to customize your profile and socialize with others. you could completely customize your bio, add different backgrounds, similar to this site. as time went on though they slowly took away more of the customization options, and eventually the social aspect of the site was completely removed. right now there is no longer any customizations besides your typical pfp & solid color background, and there is no more blogging. there's not even an option to message each other anymore.
the website is kind of barren now... the ability to create stories and quizzes is still there though. it's completely a different site than it used to be. i had so many memories on that site. i was a very young kid & that site was full of older teens & young adults, so there was a looot of stuff i should not have been exposed to. but i also met some pretty cool people. it changed my childhood drastically
was anyone else on quotev?? were you also there to experience the slow decline of that website?? please i need to queen out with someone about this. DOEs ANYONE UNDERSTAND ?

oh dear god. i made a friend from canada who i think genuinely committed suicide, and also got hooked up with some neckbeard adult via some group of people i met. and they all decided i had to be his online gf. i was a child. aosuhdoahdsosu quotev was wild
ohhhhhh my god that sounds traumatizing im so sorry. sounds like we had similar crazy experiences on there

vefafhabh I joined during like the beginnning of 2022! it was still somewhat popular during that time and then suddenly a lot of the cool stuff just disappeared :sob:
its so sad like why quotev?? especially since like a lot of cool things and amazing memories happened on there to a lot of people. I still use it but its just like not the same at all.
yess I'm so sad they just gave up on it :/ I don't even use quotev anymore, for me personally I stayed for the blogging / fandom aspect, and now all of that is gone :(

I was on quotev from when i was about 12 to when i was around 16?? I stopped using it more and more as the years went on but i do remember being able to completely customize my profile with backgrounds and everything. The profile comments + chat features. "Henlo Hooman.", when everybody was using code to give their posts color. I was heavy in the Hetalia roleplay circles aihdfkjahdkf, the site is def a husk of its former self now
YES OMG you understand!!!! I was also in rp circles when I was a kid, specifically Harry Potter ones (I don't even remember anything about Harry Potter anymore.) it was a crazy time. I wish they had a feed feature on spacehey like they did on quotev

NO OMG I also super wish there was a feed feature on spacehey i lowk thought there was going to be one when i first joined but alas... I remember back when i was super on quotev the app i used in tandem with it to like call and shit was skype?? I swear to goddd my flight or fight kicks in whenever i hear the skype ringtone now a days akdfahskdhfk, i also used to love love love both roleplaying in the profile comments and watching other people roleplay in the profile comments/joining before they made them all private and then eventually took em away completely ... i had so many roleplays archived there and just poof,.... gone. I didnt even find out that they were taking away most if not all the social aspects of the site until an old mutual told me ab it after the fact!!

LMAO dude I'm the same way except I used to use google hangouts & google+. I also used to love reading through comments when people were rping. I stopped using quotev around 2020 I think? and after I stopped using it I would check in every few months / years just to see whats up. one time I logged in and noticed everything changed and messages were removed :( apparently there was a period where you can download all your chats & messages but I wasn't there for that time so I missed it. All my chats from 2015 were gone. lowkey heartbreaking
