okay after almost a full day of the tiktok ban I can pretty much say it was never that deep.. RedNote is supa fun and I just joined this which proves to be a pretty good Insta replacement (atleast for me because I only used it to release my thoughts)
i was suchh a tiktok addict but my phone broke like 2 wks ago which lessened it and now I rlly think I might just quit it; even tho its back. wont delete bc I wanna be in the know, but idk i dont see a point in using it anymore? (coming from a girl who was CRYING literally yesterday night abt the ban)
rednote is a better app, and has a nicer community. only plus of tiktok is my fyp is PERFECT but i'll manage.
anyway coz its banned I cant download it on my new phone im getting tues so I'll have to have that alternative

the only issue with the tiktok ban is that its inherently political. i dont care for the app itself but its clearly a stunt for trump to look like a savior and gain more young supporters. im glad you found an alternative but its really sad that its future will be to become a propaganda machine once it becomes an american company.
100 percent. also part of the reason I want to completely switch off, trump and zuckerberg and probably Elon somehow are all playing w/ us but the only thing most can see is TikTok being on or offline. WAKE UP! lol

its so frustrating. all of our media is bowing down to trump. first it was twitter then meta (ig, fb) and now tiktok. it makes me feel like i cant use anything anymore and ive known social media my whole life. its going to be an adjustment.
