(1/19) MC Forever World: Fishing Shack + Dog!!

Hello!!! I have made so much progress on my world but I keep getting distracted from making a blog post!! Oops. Luckily I take little notes!

After I finished building my house, I wanted to get more iron. After trying to enter a few caves with entrances from the outside, I attempted my classic strategy of just digging a staircase until I hit something, and it worked!!! I found a huge cave system with a ton of water and I cannot wait to explore the rest of it!!

After I got my iron, I went to do some fishing on the surface and there was a Pilligar staring at me and it scared me so bad (T o T) I was far enough away from the nearby village so I could kill it without causing problems, but it turns out they drop potions that give you the bad omen effect now instead of it happening automatically! I was very thankful for that. I never did a raid before, and I have to keep inventory on so I don't really need a totem of undying like other players do, but it would be fun to be able to decide when to do it!

I decided my next project would be making a little fishing shack because I think I mentioned before that fishing is my favorite Minecraft pastime! I found a nice place for it, and then immediately realized I had no idea how to make one without making it ugly. So, I went on Pinterest and while I couldn't find a tutorial I wanted to copy exactly, I did find some good elements I could mix! I wanted it to be spruce bc it was in the same biome as my house, and thought that dark oak would work best for the roof trim. I didn't have any, so I tried my friend's stratagy of "just start walking in one direction and eventually you will find it" and it worked suprsingly quickly!!! I didn't even put in a custom seed but I can't believe I got the perfect one for my forever world <3

I also used the dark oak to fix the colors of my house, and it looks SOOO much better!!! I love mixing dark oak with my pink wood bc it reminds me of dark chocolate desserts and I love dessert themed stuff <3 <3

While I was building my shack, I FINALLY FOUND A WOLF!!!!! Luckily I have been carrying bones in my pocket this whole time waiting for one!! I am not sure what to name her, but she followed me around as I built and even killed some zombies for me!! I'm so proud <3 I also realized that skeletons will run away from her bc they are made of bones, and that is great for me bc I hate them <3

Soon after that, I finished my little fishing shack!!! I really like how the roof turned out. I was going to add doors and then I kind of liked it without them. I might add some fences to stop mobs from attacking me at night, but right now I think it is so cute!!!

Now I have to figure out what I want to work on next, maybe attempting to find diamonds? I also wanted to build my own house in the village, so maybe I'll work on that! Minecraft becomes a lot better when you have goals to work twoards. Maybe I can find a place for my little town to go eventually too!
