COD GHOSTS!!

Oh my fucking God. This game has me in SHAMBLES.

Ghosts quite literally had me going through every emotion humanly possible in the span of two days, but it was SOO fucking good. I am SO upset it ended on a cliffhanger!

My favorite thing about the game was how it ALWAYS kept you on your feet, constantly fighting or looking around for enemies. I felt like there were only a few scenes in the game where we could relax for a minute or so before immediately rushing into battle again. (These usually happened after completing a part and then having to move on to another part in order to complete the mission)

I also really like the missions itself. My favorite ones are when we get to blow shit up from planes, or tanks, and then just get to watch everything fall to the ground. But, even when we aren't blowing shit up they're still extremely fun. (Except for the fact I kept dying due to my own stupidity..)

The whole Sin city mission had me going through so many emotions. I mean, It was one thing to see Elias get beat up after Logan gets shot, BUT WATCHING HIM DIE ON THE FLOOR NEXT TO HIM WAS A WHOLE OTHER STORY.  I knew he was going to die eventually, it wouldn't be a cod game if someone important hadn't died. Plus, the entire scene was extremely tense and it was obvious Rorke was planning on killing him from the start of the mission. As much as I hated witnessing it happen, I loved it at the same time.

BUT LIKE OH MY GOD??? THE "I'm proud of you, Logan" LINE WAS LITERALLY LIKE RUBBING SALT INTO THE WOUND BECAUSE WHAT THE FUUUCKKK!! IM SIIIICKKK

and then after that when we escape and finally meet back up with Keegan, RILEY GETS SHOT SHORTLY AFTER?? (he lives though, THANK GOD) But MAN, absolutely nothing could've prepared me for that!!! I was so scared he was gonna die, like pls no u cant kill off the ONE THING I get excited to see in this game. Getting to have to hear him whimper in pain was like getting my heart ripped out and then thrown into a pit of lava.

I love u Riley 😿

Another thing I like about the missions is the diversity. They are always changing up the atmosphere and having you do different things each mission, which in my opinion, kept the game exciting!

Like in this mission, where it has you underwater

(I got ate by a shark seconds after taking this photo..)

Or, the few mission they have you in space

And even the final mission where you're on a train! I loved being forced to play through different environments in each mission. Except the final mission had me STRESSED bc it was constantly moving, making it hard to aim at enemies, AND we had to deal with the helicopters that had people also shooting at you.

THIS FINAL MISSION HAD ME LITERALLY ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT THOUGH, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THE PART PRIOR TO IT WAS BASICALLY IMPLYING THAT THEY WERE WILLING TO KILL THEMSELVES TO KILL RORKE LIKE WHHAT!!! The SECOND I saw their names turn RED on the screen my eyeballs literally popped out of my head in shock because I did not expect that shit  AT ALL!!! AND THEN WE HAVE TO PLAY AS THEM AFTER THAT??

BUT after this whole thing, you get to shoot Rorke, which of course makes you think "Wow, he's finally dead!!" because duh, who wouldn't die to a gunshot? (Apparently half the enemies I had to shoot bc why did u have to waste an ungodly amount of bullets to kill them.)

But the game is SO good at making you think that you killed someone, UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME WHEN ITS REVEALED THAT  THEY'RE STILL ALIVE??? LIKE WHAT? I JUST SHOT HIM HOW IS HE ALIVE

I barely had time to admire and appreciate this scene before RORKE comes from beside me and punches me in the face!! Then goes on to talk about how good of a ghost Logan would've been before dragging him away while Hesh screams his name.

OH MY GOD I AM SO ILLLLL UUHGHH, HOW COULD THEY END THE GAME LIKE THIS. I AM DYING KNOWING THERE ISN'T EVEN A 2ND GAME YET OR ANYTHING!!!

This game is so extremely underappreciated, and deserves to be talked about more. I personally thought it was an amazing game,  and I really enjoyed it!! It is by far, one of my favorite COD games!! (Though I haven't played many to begin with)

I really enjoy the older COD games compared to the newer ones. Not only are the soundtracks WAY better, but also the missions in general. I feel like in some of these newer games they've just rushed through and not really bothered to put as much effort into them, whereas you can tell they put effort into their older games. Maybe that's just my opinion though.

Anyways, I hope we get a 2nd game one day, or even a remake of this one!!
