People are weird

The cruelty my ex subjected me to really makes me think, despite all the heartbreak and impotence, that people are just really weird and complex.

And believe me, I tried to see him and get inside his head. Understand who he was and why but he never let me in.

Maybe there wasnt anything there to begin with or he really wanted to hide it.

Why lie? Why sleep with her wearing the ring I gave him? Why tell me he wanted to go back in some time while he was fucking her? Why lie telling her we didnt fuck when we saw eachother?

Maybe cruelty, but the look in his eyes while he cried and said sorry was too convincing. 

He said he cried bc he felt bad for me. Asshole!

Maybe it was because of principle? Doing all of that (and more) is fucked up, but idk if hed care that much about principles if he did it in the first place.
