What are the benefits of taking Economics & Politics? Is there anyone else who has done these or taking these degrees and how exciting is it? What university do you go to?

I'm aiming to do quantitative economics and I figured that Economics & Politics is a field I'd love to explore, especially with my interests of politics and economics.

What should I be prepared for when going into doing this degree? And what else should I attain before doing quantitative economics as a full-time career.
