Dance Outfit

I GOT A NEW LAPTOP!!! Thx to The Creature, you're the best.

Hopefully I won't burn out from trying to blog as quickly as I usually do this time. I can actually play video games on this laptop, unlike my other one, so I could probably do some video game reviews at some point. I've been really into Webfishing recently, though my love for Night in The Woods may turn into an actual playthrough. Maybe I'll stream it? Not sure yet.

I'm going to a dance later tonight. Nothing super fancy, just a minor school event. It's got me thinking: am I the only one who doesn't understand event dresses? Like, I'll see people talking about their dress for whatever upcoming event they're attending, and they talk it up like it's the best article of clothing in the world, but when they actually show it off it's just. Fine? They never seem to be particularly interesting. I don't really know what people see in the dresses. Usually one solid colour, not a lot of details, kinda short and form-fitting (but to each their own), not much in the way of accents or functionality, either. Maybe I'm a bit desensitised from the fashion I study being fairly extravagant, but I just don't get the hype.

My outfit, however, I'm hoping will not be plain. My mom brought up the point that my ideal look is very similar to what I wear day-to-day, but dressing extra daily means that times when you're supposed to dress extra look normal. I also couldn't find anything that looked particularly interesting. I'm hoping what I picked out will be at least something. I'm going with a lace top with bell sleeves as the, well, top, this really cute black suspender skirt with ribcage ribbons as part of the suspenders, and utility pants underneath. I have yet to pick what accessories I want to go with, but since this outfit is currently solid black, I should probably pick something with some colour. Maybe the vampire earring I made a while ago, some red and black bracelets, and my gold moon necklace. For makeup, I'm thinking a standard Ms. Lovett look with body glitter on the collarbone and arms (I'M NOT A TWILIGHT VAMPIRE TRUTHER I JUST LIKE BEING SHINY TRUST).

I might post a photo of the outfit later, before I leave. For now though, I'm gonna go clean my boots. Later!
