Playing Minecraft

I have been playing Minecraft recently to start a forever world. I keep a journal on there and everything, however I died the other night and I realised that I was at spawn and my base is over 3000 blocks away, so I have lost all my amour, XP and had to start over. The worst part is I died to fall damage near my house so If I just spawned at my base it would have been fine LOL
