00 eras.

When I was younger, I used to think that older people exaggerated their connections to the past, their youth, and their memories. It felt like time was moving so slowly. Especially in the years just before I became an adult, I would wonder where I was in life, how things would unfold, and I was excited for the future. Now, I can't believe I feel the same way as those people. I miss the past so much... especially the time between 2000 and 2010. I never would have predicted that I would feel this way in the future. It saddens me that so many beautiful things I've experienced are now in the past. And as I grow older, I can never seem to feel those old, beautiful emotions again. Even if I have beautiful moments, they don’t quite compare...

It sucks not being able to relieve those times, for me it's the 10s . The 10s will hold a special place in my heart.

The 2000s and 2010s hands down were more superior than the shit show we're living in now. All the way down to the ambiance. The color schemes and designs were more maximalist and bright. Now it just feels like a saturated filter has been placed on everything. I thought my mind was exaggerating it too with rose colored glasses until i came across 2000s nostalgia slideshows on tiktok and was reminded of all the beautiful colors and patterns that used to adorn our clothes, homes and even stationery. Even browsing this website, has opened a floodgate of memories about the amount of customization we've lost.

I deeply miss how we used to be able to showcase unique styles with our phones, ringtones, backgrounds and layouts. Things have truly gone downhill.

You’ve summarized my feelings so well… I really feel the same way. It feels better knowing that there are people out there who understand me.

Conformity is a social plague but it's so common even in small things such as brand identities, I read an article couple of years ago about how old brands chose more stark yet minimalist looks when reinvening themselves, I think you can find it on google somewhere. Also, back in the day, apple monopoly on technology wasn't as strong as it is now, seeing people with all kind of semi-smartphones, or even flipphones, was so good. Subcultures were still alive and social medias were not ruled by algorithms and they were still called social networks, there's an interesting article I read about ithere. Social medias right now are all about our self inflicted FOMO and the fear of living a boring life compared to the ones we see in instagram stories
I was so happy when I found out about spacehey, because I still love yhow internet gave me the possibility to interact with people from all over the world, I just don't like how the platoform evolved during the last decade
Unfortunately though, I think that we didn't only lose the personalization of social networks, but also the way we used them to interact with people, even here I read about a lot of people complaining of how things work here
