Skipped work today

I skipped work today. It’s so going to bite me in the ass. I texted at my brother at one A.M. that I didn’t need to go to work today, and that I work Sunday. A big fat lie.

The reason why I skipped is the middle finger on my left hand, infected and has paroychia, was causing me unbearable pain. It was throbbing. I couldn’t sleep. Occasionally, I’d release an awkward screech of pain (I was alone in the house). I had only just got my prescribed antibiotics and ointment. So only had one pill and ointment on me.

I’m just a courtesy aide and sitter right now but can you fucking imagine trying to do shit as a certified nurse’s aide while having paronychia? Pun somewhat intended. Wiping shit and piss off of someone while your finger is killing you. Wouldn’t be able to provide quality care. I’d want to cut my finger off.

But yeah, I skipped. I actually managed to fall asleep and was woken up to my 9:00 A.M alarm reminding me to take my antibiotics and ointment. I gotta take the antibiotics four times a day and then the ointment three times a day. Hoping it will fucking help
