ORIGINS.
stomach book is the musical alias of vivian weeks, a trans woman from indiana. her previous alias was originally jibral, but she dropped it after releasing the album "CAT SOUP".
after many years of going off the radar, she finally shares her life experiences in the form of loud, heartwrenching indie emo music that will make you feel less alone.

- STOMACH BOOK (self-titled) (released oct 8 2021)
the first album "STOMACH BOOK" (self titled) released october 2021, the inspiration being the artist's personal method of processing trauma, but also to explore the beauty in suffering. the songs in the album focus on mental health, traumatic experiences, and other personal struggles the artist has gone through herself.
this album is beautiful, and was my first look into her music. it helped me through so much things, regarding mental health, trauma, and generally being an emotional person.
favorite tracks: "lullaby for an angels egg, pt. 2", and "greetings from oblivion! we hope to see you soon!"

- SOPHOMORE SLUMP CALLITHUMP (released feb 28 2024)
stomach books second album "SOPHOMORE SLUMP CALLITHUMP" was created through the hardest times in vivian's life. it carries a more emotional appoach in her music, with sensitive topics, thoughts, and emotions that vivi has felt in her worst times. this album made me cry. this album starts off with a huge bang with the track "are you waiting?", the last track being a homage to the artist's mother that passed during the making of this album really hits you hard as well with its raw, loud instrumental and heartbreaking backstory. its a powerful, tear-jerking album for sure

my favorite song vivian has made in general is teto (jibral), but for her current stuff id say lullaby for an angels egg pt 2
- how long have you been a fan?
i got into her music a few days before devil nobody came out (may 31 2022) so almost 3 years!
- least favorite song from her?
if im gonna be honest, i dont hate any sort of song vivian has made, but id say her feature on "well this sucks" by full blown meltdown didnt really have that vibe that stomach book usually has, even when on features with other songs as well so id say that SORRY!!!!!!
