yapping about shows and an infection I got

Watching the English dubbed version of Squid Game right now. I usually watch these international shows subbed, just the way God intended. My brother once said subbed versions have you listening to the show's true soul words or something like that.

We both love Aggretsuko in the English dub though. I prefer the English version of Aggretsuko over the original by a long shot. Mainly because I love Haida's English voice actor. I love how he had his character as his Twitter profile picture for the longest time, even after the show was over. I dislike Haida, though. I bet he's relatable to a bunch of incels... Hell, he was kind of relatable to me before he got all weird over Retsuko. Show became like Miraculous Ladybug with the love squares... Shouldn't be happening, it's not a kid's show! Also reminds me of Never Have I Ever. You just gotta have the two main characters be endgame. I did root for Devi and Ben in Never Have I Ever, which is a show made by Mindy Kaling...

Yes, that Mindy Kaling from that godawful Velma reboot. Also the same woman who plays Kelly in the office! Never Have I Ever was overall pretty good, and I think it's cool Mindy sort of self-inserted herself into the show. It made loads more sense than Velma. She made her own original show. Velma was weird. Not sure what she was trying to get at there? Mindy has a thing for white men which to each their own

I don't remember too much of Never Have I Ever, but it got me going through a weird time back in high school. I like what they did with Paxton's character, the typical bad boy popular character/love interest. He was actually suuuchhhh a sweetheart from what I remember. He pulled a 360 in life in junior year because he realized he was failing and he wouldn't be able to go to college. Ended up being the valedictorian at graduation. Then he did something weird and decided to drop out of college to stay near Devi (the main character). He became like a substitute teacher or something. Had a romance with a fellow young teacher who was older than him.

There's like this Latina girl in the show who had beef with Devi. She became a love interest to Ben in one season. Before I watched Season 4 I took a gander at the cast list. The actress, Victoria Moroles plays Margot Ramos. Season 4 introduced another character who became Devi's short-time lover, Ethan Morales, who was played by Michael Cimino. I got all these names mixed up, making me believe this guy was going to be revealed to be the girl's twin brother. It would have been a cool twist, no? He could either love his sister or hate her, and this could have been some good conflict. It would've been too similar to the twins in Ginny & Georgia so never mind on that, I guess.

Haha, I went on with all of this. I'm only watching the English version because I don't feel bothered to read captions right now. Basically just have it on as background noise. I played a Roblox game a bit back that was based on one of the new games from the recent season. I got spoiled in the chat, but I can't even remember what any of it was lol. Idk when I'll watch the second season. I may finish Season 1 and then go for the kill! I'll watch it in subbed.

My middle finger is killing me. I'm a chronic nail biter. I didn't learn my lesson the first time my finger got infected. Like a month ago, I was asleep and was awoken to the throbbing pain coming from my middle finger. I had no idea what to do. I just took a bunch of Ibuprofen and plenty of baths. It went away on its own accord. I've had this for about the past four days. I was considering going to urgent care, or popping the thing myself... My facility has this awesome thing where you can do a virtual check-in. I had to do that due to my doctor's office being booked.

I was paired up with a medical staff, who I can assume is a nurse practitioner on a video call. I showed her my finger, how I suspected it was paronychia and maybe cellulitis, the whole shebang, and she prescribed me antibiotics, meant to be taken four times a day, and ointment, meant to be applied three times a day. Now all I have to do is wait for my brother or dad to pick them up from the pharmacy.

I'm not going to bite my fingernails anymore. I swear. I'm sad to think about how they'll look when they grow out. I fear I did irreversible damage to it. but oh well
