Sylus : Beyond Cloudfall

(Spoilers ahead for Sylus : Beyond Cloudfall myth. I won't spoil too much, though.)

Last night, a friend invited me to read Sylus' myth card with her. Liking Sylus a LOT, i accepted the invite. I'm just starting out on Love and Deepspace, so i'd like to know more about his lore in general.

Little did i know that it would end up in a 4 hour emotional rollercoaster.

Starting at the beginning, where Sylus is introduced as a fierce dragon who saved the main character from the abyss, we fangirled at the sweet, shared moments between the two. As the story goes, we learn more about the dragon while spending time with him. Its legends, habits, and unfortunately, its curse.

Dragons have an instinct that yearns for human soul. She loves the dragon, but the dragon says the opposite. The dragon says that a dragon's love doesn't exist for humans. But deep down, it's just fear. In fear of hurting the main character, he is afraid of falling in love with her. Although, i think we all know that true feelings are inevitable, no matter how much we lie to ourselves about it (I would know very well of this. But alas, this isn't about that. I'll speak of it another time ^_^)

Unfortunate events lead to both their deaths. Yet in the end, they share a soul. They dream of a valley of flowers that they never thought existed in their world. Rolling around, picking the flowers, as if nothing bad has happened. It was a happy ending. The happy ending that they wanted to believe. But again, it was a dream. Only a dream.

Sylus brings their memories to his next life. He remembers her, but even if she feels deja vu every once in a while with him at some moments, she could never remember him completely.

Bonus fact; The name "Sylus" was brought from the previous life as well. The main character gave him that name. At first, he says to not expect him to respond by that name, but what do you know? He kept on using it, even in the next life they have together.
