"behold power"
if i could behold
the way you weave word-seams into gold
i'd never go hungry for talent again
i know i'd follow you, until the end
if i could behold
the way you go above the threshold
and boast endlessly
about your enchanted embassy
but you don't speak
of the secrets you keep
you hurt women and children
you kill children by hundreds
you kill men, women by the thousands
if i could behold
all of the souls you stole
i'd famine for release
i'd famine for peace
"the man with the broken helmet"
there's something about being surrounded by your own filth
and perhaps the bodies of brothers, from whom my mother did not birth
broken bones
men without headstones
cloudy eyes
unhinged jaws, snake-like
strange smell
in a living hell
screams / were so loud
take me back / to the parade ground
bullet cases at my feet
my body cant move yet, im weak
it all makes me shudder, even when im safe
because i expect to be taken away
even when i know there's nobody watching me
nobody
but i still look at the shadows / like maybe / someone else is inside
hiding from my eyes
out of sight, out of mind
out of mind
im out of my mind
what's wrong with the air?
what's wrong with you?
