cd collection of a crazy person

hi! idk if anyones gonna see this, but this is my first blog entry on here (i just made this account) my life has been soooo boringsauce lately and i wanna make friends!! so i was like welllll i doooo have a few cds i could yip yap about...... so here!! (warning: LONGGG post ahead)

also also to give some background, i only recently (march last year) became interested in the whole... "emo" scene (quote marks bc thats a term i use VERY loosely... ik emo isnt mcr isnt fob bla bla bla go away idgafff!!) so my collection isnt the biggest but im still kinda proud of it since i also live in anti-cd-land. aka singapore (ꐦ¬_¬) and there r only vinyl stores here that when they do sell cds its only the more popular artists and the prices are also exorbitant AF. so most of my cds are secondhand and found only after painstaking doomscrolling online =( ok well whatever i'll quit griping... let's move on

my fall out boyz!!!11!

so first are all my fall out boy cds. i have every pre-hiatus cd (not counting evening out) and save rock and roll (bc i looooveeee pax am days)!

ok soooo i bought futct and ioh from mercari japan and they came together in a set and that was for a reasonable price once you factor in shipping. but since it was my first time buying from mercari, i just used the first proxy service they suggested and yeah it was fucking shitty as shit (its called buyee and ugh. i use zenmarket now and it is wayyy better. and cheaper too!) 

rant about what the freak happened.. skip if udgaf: FIRST i waited so long for it. like a whole month. and i learned it was bc they didnt deliver it to my house??? but to the post office?? where i was supposed to collect it??? then it was sent back to japan bc i didn't collect it on time but i didn't even KNOW i was supposed to collect it. so. like they didn't even email me. i had to search up the tracking number on a different site than the one they told me in my confirmation email. UGH i was so mad. i had to pay for shipping AGAIN to have it shipped back to singapore. and i did this twice bc i also bought a panic! cd and i'll tell yall in the panic! section. 

but a couple months after that i saw a reallyyyy cheap listing for the b-sides cd on mercari (by now i was using zenmarket thank god) and i was like. holy shit its cheap as FUCK. it was around 13sgd (convert it urself smh) for not only b-sides, but for futct, ioh and folie too. all in a set. i was like what the hell, sure! so i bought it and thankfully i had recently converted my friend into a fobbie (kinda) so she said she would take futct ioh and folie (since i already had them) yay! so that was lucky for me. and when it arrived obviously it wasn't in the best condition... had a couple tears on the digipak but i'll take what i can get. i also watched the dvd with that same friend i gave the extra cds to. it was awesome. totally recommend getting the b-sides cd. AWESOME! 

i got folie from amazon i think. i extorted my dad to buy it for me. its the japan version so it has a couple bonus tracks (pavlove. pavlove!!!) and even more amazing: A POSTER! 

and srar was from mercari too. it was cheap i think. im planning on getting smfs next but im broke as hell rn (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )

panic! ahhh

ok... i know this looks like a totally lame collection considering panic! is my fav... but for a long while, fob was my fav and that was when i had money... and now my panic obsession is at its peak and i have... NO money. i'm working on it. oh and in addition to whats shown above, i also have the afycso vinyl which comes with the poster so, there! i also recently bought the v&v boxset for a really cheap price and i'm just waiting for it to ship. i'll def brag about it on my twitter so follow me @xoxoxamisado (not a shameless plug. what r u talking about?)

anyway, the pretty odd cd is the First cd i ever owned. it was an early birthday gift from my sweet older brother bc i guilt tripped him into getting it for me. wahoo! it was from amazon and i love it very very dearly. doab i bought from shoppee for 7sgd (again, convert it urself loserz) and it arrived on the day of one of my national exams, so that was funny. i bought fever in london on holiday which my dad paid for. hah!

but most annoying was the live in chicago cd. this one had the same problem as the ioh and futct cds from earlier. so while it was originally like 20sgd? it became 40sgd. i was pissed off to say the least... i do love it though. it's my comfort cd... everytime im crashing out i put it on and my mood immediately lifts. so i heavily recommend it. i have yet to watch the dvd though, oops! 

^my fever poster and some magazine pages i ripped out =) i also have another poster to the other side but its a brendon urie and taylor swift ME! promo poster and idk if yall gaf about.. that.. so i won't show it. it was an impulse buy >_> (do comment if ur interested tho LOL)

i got black parade and danger days from shopee. both on separate occasions but they were about the same price. they're secondhand and the black parade one came with a poster and i was pleasantly surprised about that. i love cds that come with posters. i think all cds should come with posters and my conspiracy theory is that ppl stopped caring about cds bc they stopped putting posters in them. this is true. i'll put a picture of the poster a little further down. three cheers was bought in london too. i also have a bullets vinyl that my lovely friend bought for my birthday and when i played it she immediately got hooked on mcr... the power of peak. (sidenote: she then went on to buy a bullets cd for 80sgd. and i could never... but ykw good for her.. we listened to it together. its peak on cd too)

for lotms i bought it from carousell and i made my friend (same one as before... i swear i have other friends) talk to the seller for me cs i was too shy oops! and the whole time she was contacting him (about where to meet up etc) she was acting like a middle aged man. like. no emojis, no silly teen texting style. so when we showed up at the guy's house to collect the cd he was like. What the hell? i didn't know you were gonna be... Two Teenage Girls?! we should've gone in a trenchcoat stacked atop each other maybe then he wouldn't have been so shocked, LOL. and also this guy was such a dilf and he tried to give me a 1 dollar discount cs i was struggling to get a coin out my wallet... but its fine. then when i went home my brother informed me he had The black parade is dead! cd which my dad bought when it first came out. so that was epic. unfortunately the cd was lost n he just replaced the empty cd slot with... radiohead's my iron lung. mikey would be proud i guess.. thankfully the dvd was still there but i think he also lost the poster... ugh. useless. 

hesitant alien i bought on amazon. or actually my dad bought it and i promised i'd pay him back.. then i didn't. i might be evil but whateverrrr he'll get over it. i got the frank iero one on carousell too and i was gonnaaaa get stomachaches but it was sold out and they only had parachutes. it was relatively cheap too! i honestly wasn't expecting anyone local to be selling this khia ass cd but a win is a win. ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

finally the wildcard section. both tai...s are from amazon (again extorted from my father... are we sensing a pattern?) and gch was from mercari. the sleeve is gone bc i wanted travie on my wall.. sorry. hes hot n now he watches me change. epic. i also have phantom planet's raise the dead on the way and im SO excited. i'll tweet about that too when i get it. i actually recommend that album so so much. LISTEN TO ITTT they performed with panic! and the hush sound during the 2008 honda civic tour and it was tea. (ohh speaking of the hush sound, i should rly get like vines on cd) 

mitski was from london. chappell roan was surprisingly bought in a store here in singapore. my mum paid for it bc she asked me to look for one bc she lovesss chappell. and its mine now! yay! muse was my dad's old cd i just stole it. bright eyes was bought in london. which btw. i love bright eyes. conor oberst is my second twink bf (after ryan ross) and i love love the album i got. i sooo recommend it. 

i got the thursday one from carousell too. and it was just as surprising as finding the frank iero one. khia ass band from new jersey has fans all the way in sunny singapore? weird. anyway this was the only album from them that the seller had listed but its fine bc i love this album. actually my favourite. maybe im biased. 

lastlyyy my lamp cds. ok when i said pretty odd was my first cd ever, that was a lie. bc in 2023 i had a lamp phase and i bought 1998 in taiwan on a school trip. i called my father shaking and begged him for money so i cld get it and i was sooo pleased. my schoolmates were jealous. lamp was a huge thing if u wanted to be one of those Cool japan enjoyers and not a Cringe animanga japan enjoyer..or whatever was going thru my 15 year old brain. then right after that i went to japan w my family n went to tower records with one goal in mind. to get lamp genso. and i did. it was glorious. this was before my cd and emo phase so i stupidly didn't have the foresight to browse the fob section. damn it!!
