a quick backstory on my style and music taste
I used to be on Myspace, my aunt was super into it and made my cousins and I our own accounts. I was way too young to remember much of it unfortunately. But I grew up right behind millennials who were more than happy to sit with weird little me on the bus and let me touch their cool chalked hair, bracelets up to their elbows, and the tail keychains clipped to one of their 2+ belts. Naturally I thought these two girls with poofy black and red and blue hair, thick eyeliner, and bans shirts were the coolest things ever. And for a good year in elementary school I sat with or near them and listened to their music and teen gossip.
As time went on and I got older, my style began leaning towards alternative. Middle school was a huge turning point as far as style went. by the time I was 12 I had choppy layers in my long hair and a side shave. I wore a mix of DIY and a few real band tees, skinny jeans, layering belts, beads, and a ton of accessories such as hairclips and colorful bracelets. by 13 I flipped between an emo/sceneish style and goth fashion.
I had dipped my toes into all kinds of music by this point. I was really into AX7, BVB, PTV, Metallica, Scary Bitches, Nightcore, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I fell in love with finding both known and obscure music. I spent a lot of time at the library watching music videos and browsing sites like bandcamp. I was still rocking my hot pink barbie gurlz Mp3 player clipped to my jeans, and that girly thing was filled with tons of various music. To this day I listen to a lot of music, i think my sense of style reflects that: everchanging, but always me. today i could do a trad goth look, and tomorrow i could be a scene queen. I am not fond of labels, and its too restricting when I love too many things.
The early 2000's holds a very special place in my heart as I grew up back then. my love for mmo games and obsession with internet culture from a very young age has always stuck with me and it always will. Often i find myself wanting to go back to when life was simple, and this website is really comforting in that right.
