Have officially started school, and my essay writing feels so rough. Trying to remind myself to take any incoming criticism with grace, but oh god is it terrifying to share academic writing when my academic voice is so underutilized.
I have surgery in a week and a half too, so I've been trying my best to work ahead on assignments. I can't say whether my first semester will end with a good grade, but my hope is to at least get into the understanding of navigating school again (and get at least a low B, please...). I've gotten the ball rolling on accommodation plans, and have hope that my surgery shouldn't be too obstructive of my learning.
I'm at least not the only one who is coming back to school after being away for some time. It honestly surprised me just how many of my classmates in orientation were returning, or just now coming to school. Such is one of the possible blessings of online courses, if they work for a person, I suppose.
Anyways, I'm hoping that everything will work out and I'll regain confidence in writing and understanding academic voice. There's one class so far that's listed as a 101, but it feels a bit more advanced. Idk. End ramble.
