Horror movies rant

Heya, I feel like horror movies lost the horror aspect of the movie, because all the modern horror movies care about the gore aspect I mean yea sure it could be scary ( keyword could ) but it isn’t because they just splash blood and put a few skulls here and there and a few jumpscares and call it a day, I need me a movie that is actually scary and won’t let me sleep at night I need me a movie that gives me nightmares
