Third World Tournament X
This could probably the best KFAD-inspired tournament yet, and it's about popular memes from latin america. For those who don't know what KFAD is about, it sees characters battling it out in an elimination bracket determined by the fanbase's votes, with the winner of the tournament receiving their own special day to take over the SiIvaGunner channel. The prize has also been expanded, with the final four contestants receiving collaborative projects.
TWTX has already had some earlier projects like Third World Tournament, or Third World Tournament: After Night, but Third World Tournament X is the latest one with the most production from all of them.
It has a wide roster of characters, with 36 in total that each represent a country in particular. Every character represents a known meme, person or artist in the hispanic community (Such as Miku Norteña, Dross, July3P, DalasReview, and even Gustavo Cerati or Daddy Yankee).
If you feel a little lost about the tournament's format, it's basically a musical tournament where the contestants "battle" each other by pulling mashups, remixes, covers, etc. which are found in the Third World Tournament X channel in YouTube.
These are some of the characters that are included in the tournament:
The tournament has now been running for three years, and it went through approximately 8 rounds now (Counting the Losers and Winners bracket), but I swear that you can still take a look at it and give it a chance! It's currently on break and preparing for the Losers Bracket's fifth round, so you can listen at some songs that are being uploaded during the break.
These are my personal favorites and the ones I chose as mains:
Dúo Antidrogas:
I personally love their design and render (They were sadly eliminated early), and I mostly mained them because of their reggae, botany and strong drugs source.

Team Coñazo:
No need to explain this I fear. The Dross-Luigi duo contain the WHOLE metal genre as a source and I'm a huuuuge fan of it. Add the Profanity or Insults to the list and it's arguably my second favorite in the tournament.
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Chicken Crusaders:
A completely unskippable contestant. Gioleta's origin may not be the most renowned in the LATAM internet community, but her sources are still unbelievably great and include stuff like JJBA's Stone Ocean, War-related songs and songs related to birds.
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
And last but not least...
C E R A T I [É T E R E O] 威プ:
Without a doubt the BEST contestant in TWTX. The one who went the furthest in the tournament, on the current Top 8 and my only main who is still participating (sadly).
Cerati has everything I like: From the reference to the great Gustavo Cerati himself, to the New Wave/Pre-2000 genre. It's definitely a love letter to every latin rock fan, and a little reminder that Gustavo's legacy will go on forever.
If you took the time to read all this and got to this point, thank you! I've been talking about this tournament nonstop between my friends and it has recently come to my interest once again after its resumption. In my opinion, it's a very neat project made by and for hispanics, where the production and love put into this tournament makes it so deserving of love and it's really fun to see its community be so supportive, even though it's still a pretty niche topic.
