no, you can't be friends with everyone

yes this is a venting/ranting blog now, i gotta get over it

but man, i am so tired of people who really think they can just be uwu impartial to everything and be friendly and accepting to everyone. you can be kind and uphold people's decency without becoming a moral wet wipe with no standards whatsoever. if you just back off when one of your friends hurt another and is clearly vile and in the wrong, you aren't nuanced and impartial. you are just weak and insecure. you let your friend down and you are an enabler.

i don't know where is this coming from. some disgusting self righteousness? though my bet would rather be insecurity. people who pride themselves to be uwu unproblematic all loving capybaras of this world will never deserve any sort of meaningful trust. they would rather avoid conflict and potentially being excluded and lonely than show any sign of integrity or, idk. standards?
