A thought for Tuesday

I saw a video on Twitter or X or whatever it's called this week of a dog who looked into this boy's eyes and started wagging his tail uncontrollably; it was so beautiful. HERE

I have a rescue dog, and when I first went around the shelters to look for a dog to adopt, this one called Freddy had this connection with me - he wouldn't take his eyes away from me, smiled, kept wagging his tail like never before; we had a real bond. He wouldn't even look at the shelter workers nor my mother, he was fixated on me with a happy little face.

He was too old for me to take him on, he would be 17 or 18 if he's still alive today and he was in his twilight years when I met him. I got my dog, she's a little character and I love her to bits. But I've never forgotten Freddy and the hope he had in his eyes that day 😔
