Song of the Day: "Strappado" by Brodequin

<img src="https://i.postimg.cc/Y9ydz408/Instruments.jpg">

   Starting off the blog with one of my favorite bands, Brodequin. I am very inspired by them in my  music and interests, as they helped spark my dive into medieval Italian and Spanish history. Brodequin's image is just so cool to me, with all of the obscure torture devices and gruesome events portrayed in their lyrics. the album this song is taken from, "Instruments of Torture", is what I consider to be their best work. Many like "Festival of Death", but the production is just too bad for me to listen to it for more than a few songs. I do love raw production, though, so almost every Brodequin album is sweet music to my ears. Their new album, "Harbinger of Woe" has a much more clean and modern production that is more accessible, but it's still Brodequin's brutality.

   This is finals week at school though, and I don't like to listen to music while I study, so I haven't been listening to a ton of music. This does helps keep music exciting for me though because I find listening to music all day or in the halls at school just makes me tire of music fast.

    Hopefully I can find the time to blog more, and i encourage everyone who likes heavy music to at least try out Brodequin for a couple songs, especially "Harbinger of Woe" if you need a more accessible album.
