Fashion blog ep. 3: diy and designing

so, recently I started thinking that it's way smarter to make/customize your own clothes rather than to rack your brain looking for new ones in clothing stores. in doing so, I always have the exact piece of clothing that I want and I train my designing capabilities. in fact, I'm discovering a certain passion in clothing design and having real fun in trying to bring my projects to life.

being that this designer thing comes from my passion for fashion (which is only in an embryonal state as of now), I try not to stick to making clothes for me alone. I run around thrift shops and doomscroll on vinted trying to find the base pieces to put my customs together and recently made a pair of heeled boots that I'm trying to sell (@heartagramit on insta if you wanna check it out). 

I'm still not really good with my manual skills and trying to improve my ability to craft clothes, and I'd love to learn how to make them from the ground up. 

however, I believe that do it yourself is the smartest way to build your wardrobe the way you actually want it. sure, it requires some skills, but you start with clothes that aren't that valuable to train you'll get better in no time.
