LISTEN
I wanted to watch and enjoy MBR (Mga Batang Riles) sooo bad but it's been three episodes where a fuckass trapo (traditional politician) is featured for absolutely no good reason other than free promo—it makes my ass itch! Why on Earth are they putting a senatorial candidate on my show!?!??!?! (I know why, but it's still stupid.)
If this man don't leave my show alone I'm gonna show Sitio Liwanag a real riot
On a different note:
I don't know how many people are vibing with this show—I don't even know if people still watch TV and the stats these networks show are fabricated, but rn MBR is the show I stayed tune for and watched the pilot episode of, the other ones being Maria Clara at Ibarra and Pulang Araw. And maybe it boils down to taste since I like more of an adventurous type of story rather than drama and romance, but so far—so far, since it's only been the second week of MBR—I'm more excited to see the development of this show. I've watched MCI and Pulang Araw for a while but I didn't get to finish them. If I dropped this show because of that damn trapo ruining the show, I'm gonna hex his entire bloodline istg.

thats insaneee politics are always in tv but not usually that blatantly lol!
I dont see it in the west, is it more common in the East?
It's terrible because show business is virtually an annex for politics, the two are so heavily entwined that it's common—appallingly so—for ex-celebrity actors to run for office. It's like the next step for their career. Wild. Politics here is such a joke, honestly.
