the grammar and punctuation is bad here bc I'm putting down my unfiltered thoughts with minimal to no editing!

Advance Wars is a turn based strategy game made for the GBA, but there are also other versions.
The entire premise is that you capture buildings to make money, purchase units, then push those units to capture more buildings while you fight an opponent, either destroying all their units, or capturing their base for the win. you play as a Commanding Officer, referred to as a CO. These COs have powers that you can use after enough points are scored, and these usually turn the tide of the game.
there's also a story. it's not what you play the game for imo
this is one of Nintendo's best third party titles, and for a good reason! the game loop is on point, capturing, buying, and fighting (IN NO SPECIFIC ORDER) feels great! the sprites are so cutsey (even tho they're blowing each other away), and it's packed so full of features it's hard to think it's a GBA cart.
The AI is very easily tricked tho, so playing with a friend (there is a hotswap mode, or you can connect ur gbas if you are cool like that) but if you wanna go against people online, there is Advance Wars By Web, a (very old) website where you can duel against people online, create maps, and a whole lotta other stuff I haven't seen because the UI/UX is so damn bad if you're new or under the age of 30 (me)
If you haven't played it yet, I urge you to do so RIGHT NOW.
that was an order not a request :)
