The problems with drugs + school.

Whenever schools notice that kids are doing drugs, they never even consider why these kids might engage in such behavior. No one cares about the fact that lately, more and more kids have been turning to weed, alcohol, and drugs in general. There is a reason behind everything. No one asks the "why" part. Every kid I know who does drugs has gone through something, but no one bothers to look into it or ask why. People constantly examine things at surface level nowadays and never investigate further. Everyone assumes that these kids are just "rebels" and whatnot. They don’t ever care to explore ways to help the kids. Instead, they punish them for resorting to the last thing they feel they can turn to. I'm not saying every single kid who does drugs or drinks is troubled, but I am saying a lot are. Why are kids punished instead of being given help?
