In the middle of my classes, I awkwardly waited for the previous class to end to enter my contemporary problems class. Contemporary problems is basically a class you take after crime and justice so that you can look deeper into modern justice issues and news in media.
In the hallway, this girl passed by me. I looked up from my book right as she passed by. I felt like a cockroach in comparison to her. She was so beautiful that I genuinely may have short-circuited. I just stared at her when she passed me. She was wearing a grey skirt with some leg warmers, a pink cardigan, and a pink bag, which looked designer. She was this black girl with long, pin straight hair and bright eyes. I was baffled that someone so pretty could exist.
I told her she was pretty, because I couldn't just let someone walk past me like that without complimenting them. She said I was "so cute, like a Barbie doll." Cute. Barbie doll. I almost cried.
I did not cry, but I am saying that to say that I was very close to doing so.
