Hiiii I have a question !!
What’s the school system like where you live?
Ik that in America (or at least the part I live in) We have grade school like most other counties. The grades are split into three levels of required education and they are:
Elementary
Includes grades:
Pre-k (3-4 yrs old)
Kindergarten (5-6)
First grade (6-7)
Second grade (7-8)
Third grade (8-9)
Fourth grade (9-10)
Fifth grade (10-11)
Middle school
Sixth grade (11-12)
Seventh grade (12-13)
Eight grade (13-14)
High school
Ninth grade / freshman (14-15)
Tenth grade / sophomore (15-16)
Eleventh grade / junior (16-17)
Twelfth grade / senior (17-18)
And then after that most people decide to go to college for like 2-6 years depending on what you decide to study
Thank you so much if you can respond, I’m just curious idk why but like everywhere is so different and interesting ! ^_^

I'm from Australia,,
Foundation/Prep is ages 5-6
Year 1-6 goes from ages 7 to 12
We don't have 'middle school', so you go to high-school when you turn 13/14
and Year 7-12 is ages 13-18 :)

in my country, elementary reaches 6th grade, middle school 7th-9th, and high school from 10th-12th :] no pre-k i think. kindergarten starts from 2-3yo to 5-6yo, three years ;P
Whoa wait that lowkey makes sense the ages go tgthr more cause I feel like 13-15 makes more sense to be in the same school level instead of 12-14 (sorry if that makes no sense) but like when I was in sixth grade I had more in common with fifth graders than my fellow middle schoolers

Pre-K actually isn't mandatory in the United States! And, in some states, Kindergarten isn't mandatory either! Although, it changes from state-to-state and *majority* of states have made Kindergarten mandatory education. :)
As far as I am aware though, majority of people in the public school system do attend Kindergarten. It's harder to say that for Pre-K, because only three states actually offer "Universal Pre-K" - which essentially states that ANY child or family of age that enrolls in Pre-K will be able to attend.
Oops sorry I was not aware of that
actually just learned that where I live it is mandatory so thank you for telling me that interesting fact
