I'm new to SpaceHey, so I thought I'd post a blog to find people with similar interests. So, what I want to write about today is video games, after revising this blog a few times I've decided to just go with the games I started out on for the reasons mentioned below. I'd love to hear what games or hardware you guys started out with, anyone's free to mention any game and device :D
I'll try to keep this blog short and not go too in-depth because this is such a broad topic and I could write a literal essay about it but I simply don't have the time and energy, outside of the internet I'm still a full-time employee.
So let me start off by saying a few things about how I started playing video games. The hardware I started out with were the PlayStation 1 and 2, a GameBoy and my dad's old workstation. The games I played ranged from "Hugo the Troll" to "Need for Speed Underground" and "Earthworm Jim". There was another console I used to play with before those but it was one of those cheap handhelds that had to be connected to your CRT-TV to make out what was going on, onscreen. The games I distinctly remember playing on were Thomas the Tank Engine and a Winnie the Pooh puzzle game. As I got older I started playing more "complex" games like "Pac-Man World", Rayman: Revolution", "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" or "Tomb Raider". I'll let you guess which I played without my parent's knowledge :P
After the PS1 and PS2 era of my childhood I got a Nintendo DS for my 8th Birthday (I think). With the DS I also got two games, namely Pokemon Platinum edition and something that I've been obsessed with ever since. That game was Metroid Fusion, the 4th one in the series. I played this game way too much and even brought it into school to show it to my friends, but because of where I grew up none of them were into sci-fi or interested in videogames (for the most part, I did have a small group of friends I played Yugioh and Pokemon with).
Just to get some closure on this topic the games I spend my free time with are Elden Ring, CS:2 and other, similar games.
When did you get into videogames and do you enjoy them or are you not a big fan? I'd love for people to comment and share their thought on the topic. I hope I'll find some people to nerd out with and that you have a good day :>
