There's blood in my mouth

it tastes like everything you have ever given me

it is metallic

it reeks of a lack of care

my gums bleed with every pick

my teeth ache with every brush

my tongue is sore from the scrub

to care after so long 

is it truly too far to fix all i must do myself 

in your name?

or is there a chance 

that my mouth will not bleed

and when i spit 

it will not the form the letters of your name
