New Beginnings

 This is my first blog post on this site, so I'd better make it count. Let me introduce myself.

My name is Monoiink, and I'm here to keep track of my life, post links to articles I wrote, and update this blog with chapters of my ongoing story: Mismatched Roomies. I have a lot of different interests and fandoms I'm a part of, so you'll see some headcannon or fandom-related posts. 

Two days ago, I got accepted to my dream college. It is far from where I live, so my mom worries about me flying the coup. But I'm sure. With the help of my community college counsellor, I can organize and plan ahead. 

I also applied to three jobs to save up for tuition and the possibility of living alone/with a roommate. The place I might move into is costly, so I must save and spend responsibly.
In addition, I'm almost finished with Love Songs Are Overrated, another story I'm wrapping up. I have two chapters left to write. I want to finish that story before diving in and planning Mismatched Roomies. 

Those story projects are a fun way to cleanse my palate for my Journalism degree. Don't get me wrong—I love Journalism, but it gets old. 

I'm also excited about starting a directing class at my college. It conflicts with my schedule, but everything will be fine as long as I can balance it. I invested in a weekly planner because it's less intimidating than my old planner. I have a heavy course load this semester, so I want to learn how to schedule and plan things.
