People who listen to soul music

I love listening to R&B, soul, funk, and other genres dominated by mostly black artists and I was thinking about it and like... where is everyone??

Compared to rock music and pop fans R&B fans seem to be a lot more subtle with their like for artists and this isn't shade to anyone but I just wish I knew more people who were interested in what I'm interested in. 

There's underground bands like The Veldt that should nawttt be underground and deserve to be mainstream, there's a sort of schism or something in the culture I think and people aren't digging for music as much as they used to. Even pretty popular artists like Erykah Badu don't get the credit they deserve just because they're not shiny and new and it's rlly interesting to me..
