why am i not breathing? just curious,,

i do jrotc in school, and we do pt every thursday. last month we had what we call "cadet challenge" which is a fitness test that tests your physical abilities in several categories.

now, the practice cadet challenge, i did fine. we end the cadet challenge with the mile run, where we run the track four times. i did pretty well on that, i didn't beat my time from last year but i was only a minute over.

however, come time for the real cadet challenge, i run the mile, and i try a new technique where you jog around the curves of the track and run as fast as you can when the track is straight. honestly, that time i wasn't even able to run the entire way,,,,,, and when i was going around the last curve of the track on my last lap, my first sergeant was running and told me to keep going and i was almost there, but i noticed very quickly that i couldn't actually see him,, i hadn't noticed before, but i only had a very small hole of vision, and the rest was blacked out, and getting to the finish line was very fun cause i could barely see it. once i crossed it i immediately stopped and just fell over because i STOPPED BREATHING,, like i was trying so hard to inhale but it just was not happening. my first sergeant saw it and got super scared and had to call the major who helped me across the field to get water. how fun fr guys,, everyone was asking if i was okay. they didn't get my real time because i had fallen over that that was more important so they put me down for,,,,, TWELVE TWENTY.. great,,,,,,

last week i had drill practice, and we were given a punishment for some mistakes we made so we had to do flutter kicks (its like kicking and riding a bicycle in the air at the same time) and we had to do 30,,,, (preface i had never done flutter kicks in my life i always opted for push ups) and whenever we have to do punishment push up pr flutter kicks its always just too much for me and i start crying uncontrollably because i cant,, stop yk.. so when we get done we're supposed to get up, but when i try i sit for a second trying top catch my breath,,, heh i think you can guess what happened :) I STOPPED BREATHING !!!!!! and as soon as my breathing started again my eyes immediately flooded with tears,, like i wasn't trying it just happened, and suddenly my battalion commander (who was leading the exercise) was like really concerned with me and he was like "i prioritize my cadets over the exercise, if you cant breath you can just stop" i mean thanks but i was still breathing during the exercise (i think)

anyway if yall have any idea whats happening please lmk, i dont hae any physical medical conditions so maybe i'm just out of shape or extremeley tired
