Mistaken For Music: A Modern Grindcore Classic, Magrudergrind's Self Titled

Hello, and welcome to Mistaken For Music! Pretty shitty blog series where I yap about music. Today we're talking about Magrudergrind's 2009 self titled album 'Magrudergrind.'

I think this album is a pretty great way to get into grindcore and the other extreme genres. Crunchy rotten guitars and unstopping drums fill these songs with energy. 'Protocols Of Anti-Sound'
kicks the album off right. Droning guitars and a sample play before an onslaught of chaos and noise. This is what grind is about.

But the real star of the show is the classic 'Bridgeburner.' Fuck. Me. What a riff. If this doesn't make you wanna destroy all around you I don't know what to tell ya! Any fan of heavy music needs to check this song out, this is your gateway drug to some real good shit.

I don't have too much to say about this album other than that (plus it's morning and I just woke up. Cut me some slack!) Listen to it, enjoy it, get noisy and rowdy and break all the rules. It's fun to do. Peace.
