ao3 fanfic recommendation: Empire of Dirt

Hi so this is my first blog and idrk what to write in it but i was thinking hm.... i wanna share my love of reading and yapping and talk abt some of my favourite fanfics and books and pieces of literature and manga!

so...here it goes :3

my first recommendation is called Empire of Dirt by arakstadt on ao3

its on ao3 and tbh its so well written and i really think if published it could become a nyc bestseller (not lying!!!)

its about the skk ship (aka soukoku) which is a ship in the bungo stray dogs fandom that contains Dazai Osamu and Chuuya Nakahara
it IS rated explicit, as there are some sexual content so, be warned.
its so raw and emotion-filled, and so beautiful. you can really feel the character's emotions through the dialogue and text
it is a mlm (gay) romance, albeit a tragic one. It isn't cliché though, thankfully. I like to think of it as unique and unlike any other.
Although it is a fanfic based on an already existing fandom, you dont need knowledge of the anime to understand this story, as it is set in an alternate universe and the character's backstories are explained in the fic.
I have inserted the summary the author put in the first chapter on the fic

The voice that interrupts his afternoon break comes from a boy standing outside the fountain. Dazai's only able to make out the obnoxiously bright ginger hair on the other side of the water that separates them, but it's annoying enough as it is. Turning his head, Dazai decides to ignore him until he leaves.

"You know I can see you, right? You were just looking at me!"

Or: Dazai's bored and lives in a mansion, Chuuya's the mysterious garden boy working for his family, and fate brings them together over and over again only to rip them apart.

A tragedy in three acts.
