Mini book rant (House of Secrets)

Ok I have to read this book it's like House of Secrets or whatever it's for book club (shocker I can read!!! 😱) and like legit it is wild. Also idk this might include a little bit of spoilers but I'm not done with it so there won't be a lot

Basically this family had an 'incident' and now they have to move away and stuff and so they buy this new house and it's super old and haunted and freaking cursed and these 3 kids get magically teleported into a book land like based on the books that were written by the guy who built the house

Specifically there are these 2 characters. Cordelia is like the oldest kid in the family and she's a book nerd and stuff and Will is this British WW1 pilot guy idk but he's from one of the books. Like when Will was being introduced there was this really out of the blue romance thing going on between the two and at first I was like 'legit what' but omg they're totally growing on me

Cordelia is like crazy relatable. Like she reads the entire book Will's in to know everything about him and she says stupid things to her little sister that make her sound really annoying but idk I get the feeling that on the inside she's dying of embarrassment. She literally said that this creepy old woman who's cursing them is relatable and that's the realest thing I've ever heard. 

Will is really freaking hot. Like idk it might just be because he's British or it could just be because I'm totally going through a boy phase rn but this guy drives me nuts!!! Like AAAA! He's cute, sweet, has a totally sick vocabulary, smart, strong, and he just does things that makes me want to giggle so bad. Like Cordelia woke up way too early and she couldn't fall back asleep so she was reading and like for a whole hour Will was just sitting there awake listening to her flip pages. 😻

Ugh but literally like the story is not in the right place for romance so it's so awkward like Cordelia's blushing like crazy while all the other characters are almost dying from crazy ass curse magic. Since Will actually has common sense he's not pining over Cordelia and he's actually trying to survive properly, but this means she gets friend-zoned in the worst way possible. Like she literally kissed him and he acted freaked out. I would actually crash out. I mean not like I'm blaming Will, I'd totally be freaked out too if this random teenage girl I met a day ago randomly kissed me, but still! 

Ok but like the author knew what they were doing adding Will. Like he carries so much of the characters. I'm kind of scared though because in the book he's from Cordelia literally couldn't finish it because something really bad happens to Will idk what exactly though. Legit if I finish the book and he gets screwed over really bad I'll either make a new blog about it or just edit this one depending on how serious it is.
