the coding dilemma & toyhou.se is awesome

just got done FINALLY picking out a profile code for my toyhouse account and implementing it and its bringing me back to the age-old thought of mine....why cant i make shit myself bruh?

ive been on the internet where html/css customization was an option for a hot decade. ive been playing with features, looking at coding tutorials, and even enrolled myself in a html/css elective for one semester since it was an option for my major to take. ive learned a lot about reading and navigating code, and done a lot of studying, but feel like im capped at just little enough knowledge to actually do any homemade junk myself. UGHH.

i guess i should cut myself a little slack...? toyhouse is the primary site on which i work with code, and toyhouse doesnt use straight up html (it uses bootstrap something or another). while a lot of stuff is similar to just html'ing all over the place, the foundation on which you code is a bunch of col-pl-md-bullshit that i dont know too well and keep neglecting to check out. everything else in what goes into toyhouse html i can improvise or add straight up with what i know. i guess if i feel like im this close to being able to make my own code shit i should just push myself to go the full yards, but its hard to commit when theres a lot that i could devote my time to as is.

anyway, i was just thinking about that because ive been having a lot of fun editing character profiles and now my own user profile code based on cute junk i find. i was browsing around yesterday and got a hold of a deviantart html that looks really cute and is right up my alley for what id wanna use as profile code. ive been tweaking it as i like and just figured out how to edit some things that will let me infinitely expand my profile with as many boxes of junk as i want. exciting!!!!

ah, now this is making me think about toyhouse stuff more...i love the platform but i forget that its like, a social media, and not just a personal online file hub for artists with cool ass characters. i would love more friends on there, but i am a shy bastard who keeps to their widdle friend circle and doesnt ever try to move out of that bubble. but my widdle friend circle does NOT use toyhouse very much. not to the point of how i do anyway, which isnt frequent but i have a bunch of characters and post any art i make thats relevant to any of them on there as soon as i finish it. a lot of people say the site's hard to navigate, to which i feel like an outlier. i dunno if im super comfortable because im used to sites with layouts like toyhouse or if my 6 years of being on it just made me know where everything is. shrug!

oh yeah, heres my toyhouse page if you wanna peep the swag: https://toyhou.se/sugarbud

if you too use toyhouse, lmk bcuz id love to find some people to bond with over characters or whatever? i wish i knew how to talk about all my goobers but im shy LOL

also still working on updating the page, im doing all the changes i want in a live preview site (god bless circlejourney) but im already so happy with how things look now that i cannot contain it ^^;
