I've been trying to make online friends for years and have had no success.
For context: I'm home-schooled, have never had an actual friend before (excluding people who were bad "friends" and made me miserable), I have social anxiety and sound-sensitivity which prevents me from going anywhere, and where I live there're no social groups for any of my interests, nor do I have the money to join one.
So, the internet is really the only place I have any sort of chance of having someone to talk to. I've tried fandoms, but have found that I can't stand the people in them and the more time spent in them, the more I hate the actual thing the fandom revolves around.
Whenever people have actually talked to me online, I've always found them to be boring or, I really liked them, they'd talk to me daily for months and then suddenly ghost me.
I know that a post like this is a desperate and pathetic thing to write, but I see my current state, as someone unable to leave the house and can't even talk to people online as more pathetic.
To get to the point: if you're in a similar situation, or even just a person who won't stop talking to me after gaining my trust, and also want a friend, feel free to message me. My interests are classic literature, psychological anime, alternative music and RPGs.

omg I am so nervous to type anything in this app and i hope i'm not too late but hey.
you truely seem like a cool person and when i saw your post and had the idea to respond i was like "oh my are they destined to be my friend" but that is if you choose to accept my friendship.

also dont worry about the home schooled situation or the fact that making friends is kinda difficult but in my opinion you are lucky since anything that i wish for me is to BE home schooled. anyways i wont be yapping too much and yey looking forward to be your friend !

I understand you, I've never had school friends, I've only had close classmates but I've never created a bond with them. They always end up swapping me for other people and every year I end up alone. I also don't have and never have had friends outside of school. I'm a very introverted person and I don't know how to start conversations with people. I rarely leave the house because I have no one to hang out with, on the Internet I also can't make friends with people like you said they always end up ignoring me after a few days I just wanted to have real friends even if they are online but people never send me messages and I always wait for them to send me messages first because I think they will ignore me, but anyway you can talk to me if you want I will never disappear. ♡

writing something like that isn't pathetic. it's a sign of strength and honesty. and it looks like it may have paid off because hello! i'm 15 with social anxiety disorder and major depression disorder who is also homeschooled. our interests may not be the exact same, but i'm always down to learn and chat! nice to meet you
